“We intend to grow our national business and raise our national profile through this second office. Expanding the practice in DC makes great sense, because of the clients and relationships we already have there,” said Chris Moore, a founding partner at 3. The agency’s award-winning work has been widely recognized by the National Addys, Communication Arts, the One Show and many other industry-specific showcases of communication in healthcare, finance, agriculture, education and energy.
Clients include Facebook, the Smithsonian-affiliated National Museum of Nuclear Science & History, Presbyterian Healthcare Services, Farm Credit Services Southwest, and national trade associations including the Beer Institute, representing brewers and beer importers, and Growth Energy, representing fuel ethanol producers.
“We know how to build and manage political brands. And we know how paid media and advocacy communications can start a conversation with Congress long before any constituent or lobbyist walks into a Congressional office,” Thorne said.
Thorne had previously served as Senior Counselor of Public Affairs for Sen. Kent Conrad, and as a newsman for the Associated Press. He had also worked as director of public affairs and communications at both Growth Energy and the Beer Institute, where he was a client of 3’s.
