3 Advertising wins Best of Show, 14 gold and 30 silver Addys at NM Advertising Federation Award Show

Albuquerque-based 3 Advertising won Best of Show, Judge's Choice, Advertising Works and 14 gold and 30 silver Addys and the 2012 New Mexico Advertising Federation Addy Awards. Winning client work included efforts for Dixon's Apple Orchard, POET, Presbyterian Healthcare Services, Fine Law Firm, National Museum of Nuclear Science & History, Latitudes, Mighty Memphis, Skarsgard Farms, New Day Youth & Family Services, RoleStar, Sackwear, Seamlus, Seattle Fish Company of New Mexico, ReelzChannel, United Seating & Mobility, RockTops, New Mexico Junior Mountain Biking Club and Marisa Hausenfleck.

Best of Show honors went to the corporate identity created for Fine Law Firm. A judge's choice award was given to the campaign created for Dixon's Apple Orchard. Advertising Works, the top award for effectiveness, was given to the FriendsofDixons.com website, a fundraiser for the orchard's owners who were affected by the fire and weather events of 2011.

Communication Arts features more work from 3 Advertising

Communication Arts, widely recognized as the premier source of inspiration for visual communications, has selected work from Albuquerque ad agency/design firm 3 Advertising for inclusion in the magazine's exhibit section. The featured work is a poster campaign created for the vintage Cruiser line of T-shirts sold on Sackwear.com. The work will be featured in the May/June 2012 issue of the publication. 3 Advertising hires Joni Thompson as Operations Director

3 Advertising, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has hired Joni Thompson as its operations director. Thompson has more than 30 years of experience in business operations and administration as a CPA, controller and asset manager for a variety of companies throughout the Southwest. She was most recently the chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau. Thompson is a certified public accountant with a B.A. from Rice University and a M.Ed. from the University of Texas-Tyler.

Thompson will lead the agency’s administration, finance, accounting and operations functions, as well as business analysis and human resources. She will most likely win all future agency math competitions.

A campaign from New Mexico-based 3 Advertising will be published in the upcoming 2012 Communication Arts typography annual. The award-winning work was created for Dixon's Apple Orchard, a long-admired family business that recently experienced great damage from an early frost, a drought-based fire and subsequent late summer flood. Albuquerque-based ad agency and design firm 3 Advertising won seven show awards, two judge's choice awards and the peer award at the AIGA New Mexico Showdown. Winning work included design, print, interactive and advertising efforts for Dixon's Apple Orchard, Seattle Fish Company of New Mexico, Chef Scott Boswell, Albuquerque The Magazine and New Day Youth & Family Services. This year's judges were Petrula Vrontikis, Sam Shelton and Zack Shubkagel.
