3 Advertising wins National Addy Award, Graphis Design Awards and recognition from Applied Arts
Albuquerque-based 3 Advertising earned recognition from three separate advertising and design competitions this month for work created for clients Alone & Unafraid, Medicine in Motion, F8 Photography and its own holding company, Day One LLC.
The agency earned a gold National Addy for business cards created for Alone & Unafraid, an online retailer owned by marines. The company specializes in military-themed apparel. Only 85 gold National Addys were awarded, out of an eligible 60,000 entries. The Addys are the nation’s largest advertising competition.
Canadian-based publication Applied Arts recognized the agency's logo work for its international design annual, as did the Graphis Design Annual, which also selected a letterhead package for publication. The periodicals will be available worldwide later this year.
SHOOT Magazine name's POET's "Hero" commercial as top spot of the week
SHOOT Magazine, the leading publication covering broadcast production, named POET's "Hero" commercial as its top national spot of the week. The commercial is part of a three-spot campaign created for POET, the world's largest ethanol producer.
3 Advertising earns national healthcare advertising awards
Albuquerque ad agency/design firm 3 Advertising won gold and merit awards today from the national Healthcare Advertising Awards. The firm earned two gold awards for a radio spot and print ad for the Heart Hospital of New Mexico, as well as a merit award for the Heart Hospital's most recent television branding campaign. In addition, the agency won a merit award for a poster series created for United Seating & Mobility, one of the nation's largest independently owned mobility services providers.
The Healthcare Advertising Awards is the oldest, largest and most widely respected healthcare advertising awards competition.
3 Advertising launches two national TV campaigns, introduces new category to American public
3 Advertising launched two national television advertising campaigns this week for the U.S. biorefining industry, a business sector that has never before advertised on national airwaves.
The first campaign, for Growth Energy, a group of America’s ethanol supporters, is a six-ad series of :15 spots featuring simple typography on screen that highlights the compelling facts about ethanol, our nation’s homegrown, renewable fuel. The Growth Energy spots were completed with motion typehouse Imaginary Forces, known for their type-treatments and motion graphics for numerous films and TV shows.
The second national TV campaign is for POET, the world’s largest ethanol producer. The campaign is a three-spot effort that features symbolic POET employees inspired to share free-form poetry on how they are helping to solve America’s energy crisis and dangerous reliance on foreign oil. The POET campaign was produced by Partizan Entertainment New York and filmed by director Philip Andelman.
Both campaigns will run on national cable news networks for the next six months.
3 Advertising welcomes Jesse Arneson as new senior designer/art director
Albuquerque's 3 Advertising has added Jesse Arneson as a senior designer/art director. Jesse is a multi-disciplinary designer and art director with more than 10 years of experience working with national and international clients. His experience includes stints at Flannel Design of Seattle and Wall-to-Wall Studios in Honolulu.
At 3 Advertising, Arneson will work on local, regional and national accounts, including new energy producers, trade associations, tourism & hospitality, healthcare and business-to-business services.
3 Advertising wins 35 gold and silver Addys at New Mexico Advertising Federation awards
3 Advertising earned 11 golds, 1 judge's choice and 23 silvers at the 2009/2010 NMAF Addy Awards, winning the highest amount of Addys for the second year in a row. Recognized client work included efforts for Growth Energy, MFA, Albuquerque the Magazine, Baker Architecture & Design, Heart Hospital of New Mexico, Alone and Unafraid, Old Guys Rule, Medicine in Motion, F8 Photography and the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. 3 won awards for interactive, print, design, collateral, broadcast and multimedia categories.
Other participating agencies included McKee Wallwork Cleveland, Vaughn Wedeen Kuhn, Esparza Advertising, Cisneros Design, Rick Johnson & Company, Rome & Gold Creative, Strascina Strascina Garcia Advertising and halflife digital.
Albuquerque's 3 Advertising wins new business; work featured in HOW International Design Annual
3 Advertising has won assignments from new clients the University of New Mexico Foundation and Seattle Fish Company of New Mexico.
In addition, work created for clients F8 Photography, Medicine in Motion and a self-promotional effort are highlighted in the new 2010 HOW Magazine International Design Annual. Also featured is a special four-page story on the agency's office environment, as part of the magazine's ongoing "Workspace" section found in each issue.
3 Advertising wins two national agricultural marketing awards
Albuquerque ad agency 3 won two first-place national agricultural marketing awards today from NAMA, the National Agri-Marketing Association. Winning efforts included campaigns created for Washington, DC-based Growth Energy (a trade group of America's ethanol supporters), and Farm Credit Services Southwest, an Arizona-based credit union for farmers and ranchers. NAMA is the country's largest professional association for ag marketers. Other brands represented in the show included John Deere, Monsanto and Bayer.
3 Advertising adds to creative department, welcomes Jason Rohrer as senior copywriter
Albuquerque agency 3 Advertising has added Jason Rohrer as a senior copywriter. Jason began his career 10 years ago as a copywriter in San Francisco. Since then, he has worked on clients of every size and projects of every scale. His wide range of brand experience includes Hewlett-Packard, Dell Computers, Club Med, Sprite, Mini Cooper and Bacardi Rum. He also has extensive experience in medical and hospitality advertising.
His work has been honored by several industry awards, including multiple Addy Awards and the Graphis Award Annual. Jason attended the University of Kansas, where he earned a degree in Journalism with an emphasis on Advertising. He later attended one of the nation's most respected creative advertising schools – Portfolio Center in Atlanta. He is coping with a new-found addiction to chile.
